Free SciFi Magazine

Please fill out your name and email address below to sign up to the SFcrowsnest’s free science fiction and fantasy magazine.

You will then be sent a confirmation e-mail with a link to click to make sure you’re not some dirty Klingon spammer.

UPDATE March 2022: Goggle Mail (Gmail) often seems to be zapping the SFcrowsnest newsletter before it even gets to your inbox: not even sticking it in bulk-mail. Which seems odd, given the 100s of pieces of obviously unwanted crap it does let through each day. Ho hum. We suggest you use an alternative free email provider to get the newsletter, now.

What is this strange magazine, then?

SFcrowsnest sends out a FREE weekly magazine by e-mail.

Each issue has reviews of the best new science fiction and fantasy novels, comics, TV shows and movies, as well as many features, interviews and editorials, not to mention breaking stories from the sci-fi, fantasy and horror genres.

We cover everything from Lost in Space & the new Star Wars films, through TV like Walking Dead, The Expanse and Star Trek Discovery, to reviews of novels by Adrian Tchaikovsky, George RR Martin, James S. A. Corey, Stephen Hunt, Alastair Reynolds and thousands more best-selling authors.

It’s just like those glossy sci-fi magazines you see sitting on the shelf of WH Smith and Borders – except you don’t have to pay $6.99 for each flipping copy each week!

You’re in good company!

SFcrowsnest has been online since 1991 and is the oldest digital fan magazine dedicated to the science fiction, fantasy, horror genre (possibly the oldest online magazine of any ilk). Plenty of our current readers weren’t even born when the magazine launched. This makes us feel very old! Like the flipping Yoda of the genre.

Some of our celebrity subscribers’ comments.

“A smart, sharp informative site. Well worth visiting.”
Michael Moorcock – Author & creator of Elric

“SFcrowsnest is fun, fractious, and in your face. It’s also in your computer, but it would be hard to ignore irrespective of its chosen medium.”
Alan Dean Foster – Author & creator of the Flinx series

“SFcrowsnest helps you keep a look-out on the heaving, chaotic ocean of Science Fiction!”
SM Stirling – Author of On the Oceans of Eternity

“I love deadlines on SFcrowsnest. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.”
Stephen Hunt – Best-selling author who gets blamed for making steampunk a ‘thing’

“What I like about SFcrowsnest.com is that it’s a ‘one-stop’ — you can find just about anything that interests you, from books, magazines, TV ‘sci-fi’ (ugh — how I hate that expression!) old and new, movies. comics – and, of course, ART!”
David A Hardy – Science Fiction Illustrator, www.astroart.org

“What the fuck is SFcrowsnest?”
Sean Pertwee – Actor: Gotham, Mutant Chronicles, Doomsday, Equilibrium, Dog Soldiers, The 4th Reich (as overheard at the Arthur C Clarke Awards, 28th April 2010).

How do I white-list your newsletter to ensure delivery?

    • I believe I may have had some of your newsletters in the past, I read quite a lot and at the moment my library has over 5,500 books in it, mainly 75% I have purchased and the rest given by the authors, my problem is every time I see a new book that interests me I buy it hence I have so many in my library and I have only read about 30%, one day I am going to slow down buying and read a bit faster to catch up with my purchases. As I am nearly an octogenarian if I don’t speed up I might not finish reading all my books (LOL). Good luck to SF and I look forward to readingmore of your efforts.
