Rampage (gene-edited beasts go Kong) (movie trailer).

Dwayne Johnson stars in the scifi monster movie Rampage (with Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the CIA bad guy), directed by Brad Peyton, and based on the game of the same name.

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, an intelligent silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth.

But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, itโ€™s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals.

As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

โ€œRampageโ€ also stars Naomie Harris (โ€œMoonlightโ€), Malin Akerman (TVโ€™s โ€œBillionsโ€), Jake Lacy (TVโ€™s โ€œGirlsโ€), Joe Manganiello (TVโ€™s โ€œTrue Bloodโ€), and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (TVโ€™s โ€œThe Walking Deadโ€); as well as P.J. Byrne (โ€œThe Wolf of Wall Streetโ€), Marley Shelton (โ€œSolaceโ€), Breanne Hill (โ€œSan Andreasโ€), Jack Quaid (โ€œThe Hunger Games: Catching Fireโ€), Matt Gerald (TVโ€™s โ€œDaredevilโ€), Jason Liles (โ€œDeath Noteโ€), Demetrius Grosse (TVโ€™s โ€œThe Braveโ€), Will Yun Lee (TVโ€™s โ€œHawaii Five-Oโ€).
