It is set in a cyberpunky near future where the internet has migrated into people’s brains via direct neural connections.
But when a computer virus starts infecting the implanted masses, it’s up to the few people without the tech in their skull to survive and try to save the world.
Reminds me a little of the movie, Cell, based on the Stephen King movie of the same name.
