In the horror-scifi movie Assimilate, some good old Invasion of the Body Snatchers/The Thing-style action comes into the fore when a group of people shooting a documentary inside their city realise their fellow citizens and neighbours are being murdered and replaced by alien creatures who are perfect duplicates of the original victims.
