Here’s the trailer for Death Race 2050, Corman’s sequel to his original definitive future-shock road rage 1975 movie, Death Race 2000 (this time shot in Peru).

G. J. Echternkamp is the scifi movie’s director. It stars Malcolm McDowell as a rather familiar-looking US President (hair jokes – whoever can they mean?), as well as Manu Bennett, Burt Grinstead, Marci Miller, Folake Olowofoyeku, Anessa Ramsey, Yancy Butler and Charlie Farrell.

Nothing like the 2008 jail-set gladiatorial match of a movie that wasn’t up to much cop – a lot truer to the original film’s gonzo roots, in my humble opinion.
