Gene Roddenberry’s failures, or long forgotten masterpieces: Genesis II, Planet Earth, Questor Tapes, Strange New World (TV scifi retrospective).

Our damn fine scifi TV reviewer, Stam Fine, looks at four Gene Roddenberry-inspired pilots from the 1970s.

Genesis II (1973), Planet Earth (1974), and Strange New World (1975) were all variants on the theme of a 20th century man who is frozen in time and wakes in the far future, a hundred or so years or so.

In the TV pilot Questor Tapes from 1974, a highly developed robot searches for its creator.
