Nemesis The Warlock: Deviant Edition by Pat Mills, Kevin O’Neill & Jesus Redondo (book review).
Attention, you who listen to the word of Tomas Torquemada. If you missed the blood and guts in colour in the previous volumes of my battles with that alien monster, Nemesis The Warlock, then look no further than this latest ‘Deviant Edition’. See my death and resurrection and how I ruthlessly achieve my aims. Behave.
Better still, listen to my word, that of Nemesis The Warlock, as I stamp out the fascism of Torquemada as only I can as the colour of my deeds leaps out at you from the pages of this graphic novel. Credo!
The original ‘Nemesis The Warlock’ was printed in black and white in ‘2000AD’ but its later reprint under the Eagle imprint was in full colour and this is that version, together with the seven covers for its mini-series.
So now you have a choice, citizen. Would you support Torquemada and his fascist regime against anything alien or Nemesis The Warlock’s plan to show how petty that kind of thinking is. The lines are drawn, and now they are in colour, and the aliens must win. Credo!
