Sliding Void, free (for now)
The first book in Stephen Hunt’s space opera novella serialization, Sliding Void (same as the series), is currently free from a number of outlets.
You can download it from Smashwords here (they crumpled under the weight of downloads recently and started returning a 404 server error, but don’t worry, they’re now back).

And you can even download it from OnceWasPaper (best-looking format for epub, by the way).
