Steampunk anime Kurayukaba moves to get funding (anime trailer).

The crew behind the steampunk anime movie Kurayukaba – led by Shigeyoshi Tsukahara – have now produced their pilot piece, off the back of their first successful crowd-funding campaign, and so have moved to raise the dosh for their full forty-minute-long movie over at https://motion-gallery.net/projects/kurayukaba

The main characters in this alternative reality flick are Tanne, owner of an armoured train (naturally), and a washed-up private eye called Shoutarou, who must team up to investigate a series of mass abductions mysteriously happening during the witching hour.

The trailer pilot looks pretty damn impressive. Kind of reminds me of one of Stephen Hunt’s best-selling Jackelian fantasy steampunk novels.
