Netflix is bringing a new epic fantasy TV series to the streams – called The Letter for the King, based on the sixties fantasy novel of the same name by Tonke Dragt … often described as the Dutch JRR Tolkien. Wow, it’s almost as if Netflix are timing this as a LOTR spoiler for rival Amazon Prime.
The Letter for the King is set in a fictional fantasy world. In the book, a squire goes on a prophesied quest in the midst of a nasty multi-kingdom war.
