The Rain: Netflix TV series (trailer).

Here’s a new science fiction series from Netflix that looks like it’s jumped from the pages of a YA novel, but actually hasn’t – it’s their first Danish-language Denmark-set post-apocalypse type thang. In this case, a plague transmitted by rain water. Called, err, The Rain. Some day a real rain’s going to come. Well, that day is today … or tomorrow.

This series sets to look out how a coddled bunch of app-addicted snowflakes survive in a world where a safe-space is a fortified cottage with a shotgun and a decent supply of canned baked beans.

Oh dear. I can do with some cheering up and I haven’t even seen this bloody series, yet.
