The Shape of Water (Guillermo del Toro’s new scifi flick).

Here’s the trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s new scifi flick, The Shape of Water.

It’s an other-worldly scifi fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1963.

In the hidden high-security underground Area 51-like government complex where she works, lonely mute girl Elisa (actor Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation.

But Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment, in the form of an Amazonian mutant creature – possibly alien – that the government wants to dissect.

Think E.T. crossed with Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Amélie as far as the plot goes. Hitting cinemas early December 2017.
