With 90 years remaining on their mission, three low-ranking astronauts onboard the DreamBlaster spacecraft are unintentionally awakened from slumber in the opening scene of “Early to Rise“, a short science fiction film by Alec Cohen.

They decide to find a way out once the fear of being confined to their sleep pods fades.

The three unintentional prisoners manage to get drunk, get laid, get a video chat, get on a game show, get briefly out of their pod, get permanently trapped back in their pod, get a random woman killed, get an order placed on Amazon, and get a rescue ship eaten by a giant alien whale over the course of endless weeks of fighting, boredom, and some bonding.

However, they are unable to escape.
