Brightburn (horror-superhero mash-up trailer).

Here’s the new film from James Gunn of Guardians of the Galaxy fame, which asks the question, what if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

It’s touted as a: “subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.”

For the world of superhero films, that may be true, but for the world of paper comic-books, well, Marvelman from the Warrior indie comic (by Alan Moore, no less) trod this path fairly amazingly well back in the days of the comic-book renaissance of my childhood!

Hitting cinemas May 24th 2019.
