Cloud Atlas trailer.

Here’s the new trailer for the much loved film adaptation of the Cloud Atlas novel. As in the book, this has the focus on a love story that survives the ages through reincarnation, and leaps about through time – including two lengthy sci-fi segments. The first set in a cyberpunk dark future. The second set in the far future ruins of modern civilization.

The author, David Mitchell, got a lot of stick from the luvvies for including science fiction in an otherwise ‘respectable’ work of literary fiction. Well, it’s crossover baby. Get used to it. Any work that can be short listed for the Booker AND the Arthur C. Clarke Award gets my respect!
