Warner are running a design competition for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey movie. They are requesting submissions of artworks in four different categories: Characters, Creatures, Weapons and Locations. Please note, the competition is only open to people 18+ living in the USA. Boo! Come on boys, give us Brits and Europeans a chance, too.

The judges, John Howe, (British) Alan Lee and Weta’s Richard Taylor will choose one AMERICAN winner in each category who will win a merchandise from the sponsors worth approx. US $2,000 (AMERICAN). Runners-up will also be rewarded.

Weta is sponsoring the Creatures category and the Grand Prize in this category will be collectibles from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Four runners-up will also win a limited edition Weta collectible.

So dust off your brush and quest over to www.thehobbitdesigncontest.com to find out more and submit your creations!
