Dishonored 2 game trailer . . . steampunk redux.

Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios are working on Dishonored 2, their steampunk first-person action stealth game and follow-up to Dishonored, slated for a Spring 2016 release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

It’s kind of like being in a Stephen Hunt novel, but with a lot more hands-on slaughter!

In Dishonored 2 the fate of the Isles is left hanging in the balance when the throne is seized by an otherworldly usurper. Players can reprise their role as a supernatural assassin and play as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano – both armed with the mark of the Outsider and their own set of supernatural abilities, weapons and gadgets; exploring the game world from the streets of Dunwall to the coastal city of Karnaca.

Dishonored 2 blends first-person action, assassination, stealth, mobility and the game’s brutal combat system.

“We’re excited for everyone to finally know that we’re hard at work on Dishonored 2,” said Harvey Smith, co-creative director at Arkane Studios. “We’re really looking forward to sharing more details with fans and revealing gameplay for the first time later this summer.”

“At Arkane, we’re passionate about creating deep game experiences in highly-crafted worlds,” added Raphael Colantonio, founder and co-creative director at Arkane Studios. “Returning to the world of Dishonored is both thrilling and rewarding.”
