You may fondly remember The Banana Splits as a weird slightly psychedelic 1970s children’s TV program run in what’s called today, a ‘magazine format’.

Here’s the SyFy movie remake of it – but as a horror movie where the Banana Splits are demonic robots who will slay anyone to keep their show on the air.

Hmm, I think something has been lost in translation a little bit.

Whatever is next? The Wombles as cannibal forest crawlers murdering hitchhikers in the woods? Hey, that could actually work! I call dibs on the IP.
