Dragon’s Lair movie from Netflix: Ryan Reynolds hired (news).

The ancient Disney-like animated arcade game, Dragon’s Lair, is being made into a film by Netflix and they have hired Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds for the role of knight Sir Dirk the Daring.

I mainly remember this game for having (a) ground-breaking Disney-like animations when everything else was pitched as broken pixels, a la Space Invaders and the like, and (b) being utterly unresponsive to any joystick or button actions – it was like watching uncontrolled cut scenes until the coins ran out.

Maybe I’m just a really bad game player, though?
