Spider-man in infinite varieties: the many multiverse versions of Spidey (article).

Spider-Man is a classic superhero, known for his wit, bravery, and web-slinging abilities. But let’s be real: he’s not the only Spider-Man out there. In fact, the Marvel Comics multiverse is home to a whole host of bizarre Spider-Man variations, each one stranger and more absurd than the last.

First up, we have Spider-Ham, a.k.a. Peter Porker, a talking pig who gained superpowers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. Yes, you read that right. Spider-Ham is a bizarre combination of Spider-Man and, well, a ham. He’s a bit of a joke character, often showing up in comedic storylines or as a background character in the Marvel Universe. But don’t let his silly appearance fool you – he’s a formidable hero in his own right, using his powers to fight crime and protect the world from all sorts of threats.

Next, we have Spider-Man 2099, a.k.a. Miguel O’Hara, a scientist from the year 2099 who gains spider-like powers after attempting to recreate the original Spider-Man’s powers. Spider-Man 2099 is a futuristic take on the classic character, with a sleek, cybernetic suit and an array of high-tech gadgets at his disposal. He’s also a bit of a rebel, often clashing with the authorities in his quest to do what’s right.

But the strangeness doesn’t stop there. There’s also the magnificent Spider-Man UK, a.k.a. Billy Braddock, a British version of Spider-Man with the ability to teleport and manipulate reality. And then there’s the Ultimate Spider-Woman, a.k.a. Jessica Drew, a version of Spider-Man with all the same powers – but with a feminine twist. And let’s not forget the fan-favorite Spider-Gwen, a.k.a. Gwen Stacy, who gained spider-like abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider – just like Peter Parker. But unlike Peter, Gwen never became Spider-Man – she became Spider-Woman, fighting crime and injustice in her own unique way.

But perhaps the strangest Spider-Man variant of all is the Spider-Man of the Zombie Universe, a.k.a. Peter Parker. Yes, you read that right – this version of Spider-Man is a zombie. He’s still fighting crime, but he’s doing it while trying to avoid getting eaten by his fellow undead. It’s not exactly your typical Spider-Man story, but hey, it’s still pretty cool.

So there you have it – a brief rundown of some of the weirdest Spider-Man variants in the Marvel Comics multiverse. From talking pigs to zombie Spider-Men, there’s no shortage of bizarre and absurd variations on this classic hero. But no matter how strange they may be, they all have one thing in common: they’re all dedicated to fighting for justice and protecting the innocent. And isn’t that what being a superhero is all about?
